Meet the New Coaches |
|
|
|
Andrew Lybarger, Coach – Andrew has grown up with the Barracuda team and we are so proud to have him as our Coach. Andrew has recently completed his freshman year at Worchester Polytechnic Institute and has had an excellent first swim season there, setting a new school record in the 200 yard butterfly, earning him a NCAA provisional qualifying time to boot. Last year’s coaching experience coupled with his teammates’ awe and admiration of his talents should make for another great coaching opportunity for Andrew.
Zack Schreer, Coach - Zack was our head coach 2 summers ago. He will be returning part time due to school obligations during the swim season. Before being our head coach, Zack coached several years for a summer league team in Cobb county. He has been a year round swimmer all through high school and went to several State/Regional/National USS Swimming Championships.
Taylor Dull, Coach – Taylor is a new coach for the Barracudas. She currently swims for Georgia Southern University and was previously captain of Lakeside High School’s swim team. She swam for Echo Ridge swim club since she was 7 yrs. old so we are very excited to have her bring her experience, expertise and enthusiasm to the Barracuda coaching team.
Herman Ryals, Coach – Herman is also a new coach this year and also grew up with the Barracuda swim team as he has been swimming with the BWBC since he was 7 yrs. old. He also was captain on his high school swim team and currently swims for the Georgia Tech club team. Herman will bring invaluable Barracuda team experience and we’re looking forward to him motivating his “home team”. |

Swim Suits
Our official swim suit is Nike color block Blk/Red 915 (girls) and Nike color block jammer Blk/Red 915 (boys). Suits can be purchased on sign-up day. . The official swim suit is not a requirement. However, jammers/briefs are required for boys (no swim trunks) and a one piece suit is required for girls (no two piece suits). If you do not buy a Nike color block jammer, please buy something in black to stay consistent with the rest of the team.
Swim Caps
We encourage all swimmers to wear swim caps while swimming at all times. Barracuda swim caps will be provided for all swimmers at the first swim meet.
Goggles
Each swimmer is responsible for buying their goggles. Goggles are recommended for all practices and meets. If you are struggling on which goggle is best, the coaches recommend Speedo, Jr. Hydrospex |
