🏊‍♂️ Briarcliff Woods Beach Club Pool Rules ☀️

Ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for all members and guests.

📋 General Pool Rules

  • Non-swimming children younger than 4 years of age must be directly supervised by an adult at all times. Children younger than 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult inside the pool area.
  • Parents and/or guardians shall maintain the responsibility to supervise the actions of their children at all times while on Club property.
  • The wading pool is reserved for children 7 years of age and under. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Lifeguards are not responsible for overseeing children in the wading pool.
  • All swimmers are required to wear proper swimwear (no cutoffs or streetwear). Water toys must be used with caution; lifeguards may restrict toys based on safety or bather load. Weighted items should be dropped, not thrown.
  • Dive blocks and club kickboards are for swim team use only during designated swim team hours.
  • Children who are not potty trained must wear a diaper and tight elastic-legged pants. Changing diapers is prohibited outside the bath houses.
  • A 10-minute “Safety Break” is called during the last ten minutes of every hour. Only individuals 18+ may be in the pool during break, and body parts must remain clear of the edge.
  • Lifeguards have full authority to clear or close the pool during inclement weather or unsafe conditions (e.g., minimum 30-minute closure upon hearing thunder; subsequent thunder resets the 30-minute wait).
  • Tennis players must clean court material off their shoes before entering the pool area and bathrooms.
  • Members with guests must sign in at the front gate register and accompany guests on-site at all times. Guest fees are $5 per person (age 1+ whether swimming or not).
  • Grill lighting is prohibited within 30 minutes before pool closing time.
  • Members and guests must clean up after themselves. Lifeguards are provided for safety, not trash detail.
  • Park only in designated areas; towing costs will be assessed to the member family.
  • Everyone must exit the entire pool area no later than the designated closing time.
